Noticing a boom of upcoming sauna facilities in Helsinki, a team of journalists at Hufvudstadsladet (HBL) wanted to try out a new way of reviewing some of them. They decided to focus on the really urban facilities. The presentation takes reader as close to the sauna experience as possible with visuals first, focusing on photos, videos and infographics.
This digital story won an Award of Excellence in the European Newspaper Award and was shortlisted for the Timantti visual journalism prize in 2017.
